Award-Winning Photographer Kevin Fleming Donates Photographs to Beebe Medical CenterPosted: March 27, 2012
The natural beauty that surrounds the historic town of Lewes is captured in a collection of Kevin Fleming photographs displayed in public areas near the elevators at Beebe Medical Center.
Kevin, an international award-winning photographer who lives in Lewes, donated the collection. Rehoboth Art and Framing framed the photographs for Beebe Medical Center at a deeply discounted price.
“We are pleased to have these photographs,” says Donna Streletzky, Vice President of Operations for Beebe Medical Center. “Our patients, visitors and staff members very much enjoy them. They add to the warmth and community atmosphere that we have at Beebe Medical Center.”
Kevin, a Delaware native, in past years traveled the world as a photographer for National Geographic. His assignments took him into war and famine in Somalia, to the Mediterranean for a re-creation of the voyage of Ulysses, and dog sledding across the Canadian arctic.
Kevin has won several awards, and was recognized as America’s Best Observer by Readers Digest. Today, he spends much of his time capturing the natural beauties of Delaware. He has published 19 books of photography, most recently Wild Delaware and Wild Delmarva. The 20th book will soon be published. He also takes photographs for Beebe Medical Center and other local clients.
“I have enjoyed working with the people at Beebe,” Kevin says. “We are part of a unique community, and it’s great to see how the hospital has grown and offers so many important healthcare services.”
