Surgical Services

Beebe Medical Center has more than 30 surgeons on staff, including general surgeons as well as specialists in the fields of cardiothoracic, colon and rectal, hand, obstetric and gynecologic, oncologic, orthopaedic, oral, plastic, thoracic/vascular, and urologic surgery. They are supported by nearly 60 trained surgical personnel and 80 trained peri-operative personnel who perform approximately 5,000 procedures, including open-heart surgery, annually.

As a Level III Trauma Center, Beebe Medical Center's bank of eight surgical suites at its main campus in Lewes is available 24 hours a day for elective and emergency procedures.

Beebe Medical Center also has two centers for outpatient surgery, at the main campus in Lewes and at the Beebe Health Campus on John J. Williams Highway in Rehoboth Beach. These centers offer patients and their families the convenience and comfort of a modern same-day surgery facility.
