Beebe School of Nursing Students Earn Louise Jarmon Hopkinson Scholarship
03/22/10
Beebe School of Nursing students Amanda Richter, a first-year student from Rehoboth Beach, and Victoria Konnyu, a senior student from Rehoboth Beach, have received the Louise Jarmon Hopkinson Scholarship.
Louise Jarmon Hopkinson was a 1932 graduate of the Beebe School of Nursing. She served in the U.S. Army Corps and as a private duty nurse at Beebe Hospital for many years. A generous bequest from her estate provides scholarship awards for the school's spring semester to a senior and first-year student who has the highest academic average.
The Beebe Medical Foundation manages and facilitates the awarding of the scholarship.
