A Gift of Handmade Quilts Arrives at Tunnell Cancer Center

12/11/09

Faith, Hope, Love Quilters of St. Mathew's By-the-Sea in Fenwick Island recently brought a gift of bags and boxes of 27 handmade quilts and 13 handmade Afghans to Tunnell Cancer Center to be used by patients who are undergoing chemotherapy.

These quilters over the years have donated thousands and thousands of quilts in support of patients at Tunnell Cancer Center. They also make donations of the quilts and other goods to several organizations throughout the community.

We very much appreciate the gift of these hand made Afghans and quilts that make such a difference to our patients, says Cherrie Rich, Executive Director of the Oncology Services at Beebe Medical Center.
