The Better Breathers' Club to Meet September 16 in Rehoboth Beach

The Better Breathers Club, a free Beebe Medical Center-sponsored support group for those with pulmonary diseases, will meet at 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, in the McCurry Conference Center at the Beebe Health Campus on John J. Williams Highway (Route 24) in Rehoboth Beach.

The group meets every third Wednesday of the month and features presentations by medical specialist on a variety of topics related to pulmonary diseases. Light refreshments are included. On September 16, a Beebe Medical Center pharmacist Michael Fraundorfer, Pharm.D, will discuss several medications prescribed for pulmonary diseases.
According to the American Lung Association, lung disease is the No. 3 killer in America, responsible for one in six deaths. Today, more than 35 million Americans are living with chronic lung disease such as asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
