Tunnell Cancer Center Highlights Patients and Caregivers in 2009 Calendar

11/26/08

Beebe Medical Center announces that the Tunnell Cancer Center 2009 Calendar is now available and can be obtained free of charge at the Cancer Center at the Beebe Health Campus on John J. Williams Highway (Route 24) in Rehoboth Beach.

This year's calendar highlights cancer survivors and those around them who helped and supported them through their diagnosis and treatment. It also highlights generous people in the community who have given their time and talents to support cancer patients. The theme of the calendar is Making a Difference Together.

Patients are not alone in their battle against cancer, says Cherrie Rich, Executive Director of Beebe Medical Center's Oncology Service Line. It is a battle shared by family and friends, and one that we share with our patients. Our mission at the Tunnell Cancer Center is to provide both hope and cure. Our physicians and staff are there to listen, support and encourage patients every step of the way.

The 12 patients and their caregivers who are highlighted, each on a different month, agreed to tell their story for the Beebe Medical Center publication. Each has a message to readers they wanted to share. The calendar also includes information on the Tunnell Cancer Center and the services that it offers its patients. The Center can be reached at (302) 645-3770.
