10/10/08

Beebe School of Nursing Student Council Organization will host a fundraiser to benefit The Sussex County Survivor's Fund at The Roadhouse Steak Joint, Thursday, November 6, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Roadhouse will donate 10 percent of the proceeds from the day to The Sussex County Survivor's Fund.

The Sussex County Survivor's Fund is a brand new venture to raise money to aid Tunnell Cancer Center patients who are in need of money to help support them through their long hard journey.

The Roadhouse is located in the Midway Shopping Center on Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach (Northbound side of Route 1). For more information, contact Ginny Rickards of Beebe School of Nursing at (302) 645-3251, ext. 5468.

The Beebe School of Nursing, based at Beebe Medical Center, is the only hospital-based, diploma nursing program in Delaware, and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The diploma in Nursing is awarded at the completion of the curriculum, qualifying Beebe graduates to be eligible for National Council of State Boards of Nursing NCLEX examination, leading to licensure. Beebe graduates have one of the highest NCLEX pass rates in the state and can complete a Bachelor's degree in Nursing at Wilmington University through an articulation agreement with one additional year of study.
