The 5th Annual Beebe Medical Foundation Progress for Prostate Charity Golf Tournament will be held at Cripple Creek Golf & Country Club on Thursday, July 17. Registration and breakfast begins at 8 a.m. and tee off is at 9 a.m.

Bob Davis, founder and chairman of the tournament, expects the event to raise more than $30,000. "If we reach our goal this year, we will have raised over $100,000 to support free screenings and education related to prostate cancer," he said.

State Representative Gerald W. Hocker will serve as Honorary Chairperson of the tournament.

Registration is open to all players and space is still available for $100 per individual and $400 per team of four players. Lunch, prizes, and a cart is included in the golf package. To register, call the Cripple Creak Golf & Country Club Pro Shop at (302) 539-1446. On July 16, the eve of the tournament, a reading of "Mimi and Max", a comedy written by Bob Davis, will be held at Cripple Creek. The evening event also will be a fundraiser for Beebe Medical Center and will include a silent auction.
