Cloud 9 Restaurant Supports Tunnell Cancer Center

04/10/08

Cloud 9 Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach raised $4,000 at its third annual "Dine Out" event to fight breast cancer.

Executive Chef Chris Neal prepared the three-course, gourmet dinner and sommelier Laura Lamprechet chose the wines. Jazz vocalist Vessa performed. The event grew both in the number of people attending and with two new fundraising activities, a silent auction and an art display and sale by Philip Morton Gallery. Nearly 90 people attended.

Proceeds were donated to Beebe Medical Center's Tunnell Cancer Center. The event was organized in memory of Patricia Brimm, who died from breast cancer in 2005. Brimm was the mother of Justine Berdini, wife of Cloud 9 owner, John Berdini.
