Beebe Medical Center announces that Vendla Esler, RN, BSN, MBA, CNAA, BC, has been named Vice President of Patient Care Services. She is a member of the Executive Staff and reports to Jeffrey M. Fried, CEO and President of Beebe Medical Center.

Mrs. Esler, who has extensive nursing leadership experience, has served as the interim Vice President of Patient Care Services at Beebe Medical Center since December 2007. She has continued to work on the planning and implementation of the move into the new Joseph R. Hudson Wing, which will house a new 42-bed Medical/Surgical unit, a 20-bed Critical Care Unit, and the Emergency Department. She also has facilitated the development of new policies and procedures to improve patient care.

"We are proud to welcome Vendla to our team at Beebe Medical Center," says Mr. Fried. "She has done an excellent job in her interim capacity and we now look forward to working with her on a permanent basis. She has extensive knowledge and experience, and is committed to helping us deliver quality care and services to our community."

Mrs. Esler previously served as nurse executive at Nanticoke Hospital, Prince George's Hospital and Greater Baltimore Medical Center. She lives in Seaford with her husband and two of their four children.
