Beebe Medical Center Auxiliary to Hold 7th Annual Fun Fest

08/22/07

The Beebe Medical Center Auxiliary will hold the 7th annual Fun Fest at Winswept Stables on John J. Williams Highway (Route 24), in Lewes, on Saturday, September 29, 2007, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Members of the planning committee are working hard to plan another fun-filled event.

Numerous games, including an obstacle course, a train ride, and a moon bounce, will be featured. Winswept Stables' petting zoo and pony rides will be part of the day's activities. Members of the Winswept Stables Pony Club will give riding demonstrations throughout the day. Refreshments, including hot dogs, hamburgers and homemade baked goods from Auxiliary members, will be available for purchase.

The Auxiliary organizes many fundraising events that benefit Beebe Medical Center's various capital campaigns. Upcoming fundraising events include a Jewelry Sale on September 14, a Uniform Sale on October 18 and a Leather Goods Sale on December 7. These sales are open to the public and will take place in Classroom #4 on the first floor at Beebe Medical Center's main campus on Savannah Road in Lewes.

This year the Auxiliary's contributions will benefit the building of the South Coastal Health Campus on Route 26 in Clarksville. In May 2007, the Medical Center Auxiliary presented Beebe Medical Center with a check in the amount of $150,000 to be used for the Tunnell Cancer Center Initiative.
