Beebe Medical Center joins First State Community Action Agency in sponsoring the Sussex County Health Fair from noon to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 30, at the Grace United Methodist Church on 7 South King Street in Georgetown.

The health fair will focus on patients 45 years old and older and those who do not have health insurance. Beebe Medical Center community health nurses will do blood pressure screenings, diabetes screenings and cholesterol screenings. They also will do free body mass indexes and bone density screenings.

The Women's Mobile Health van also will be on hand where women can receive mammograms. Appointments are required. Contact Cathy Ward, RN, in Beebe Medical Center's Community Health Department, to schedule an appointment and to learn about free mammograms for those who qualify. Her telephone number is (302) 645-3169.

Refreshments will be served. There also will be a $20 gift card giveaway.
