Local Restaurants to Hold Best of the Beach Art Auction Raffle Events

Striper Bites Bistro in Lewes, Dos Locos Mexican & Seafood Restaurant and Mariachi's Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach will help raise funds for the Tunnell Cancer Center by holding Best of the Beach Art Auction raffle ticket events in the coming weeks.
Purchasing raffle tickets will give the opportunity to vie for one of three great prizes. First prize is a 50-inch, VIZIO Plasma HDTV with Built-In HD Tuner. Second prize is a $500 VISA shopping spree. Third prize is a weekend stay for two at the beautiful Bellmoor Hotel in Rehoboth Beach. Included in the prize is a day spa package, plus dinner on Friday at Dos Locos, dinner on Saturday at Blue Moon Restaurant, and brunch on Sunday at Cloud 9 Restaurant. Those who buy raffle tickets at these special selling events also will receive discounted meals during the evening at the participating restaurants.
The first raffle event of the year was held Wednesday, May 23 at Jakes Seafood Restaurant on Highway One. It was a great success and a special thanks to all who came out and participated. Three more events are scheduled. The first one will take place at Striper Bites on Savannah Road in Lewes on Thursday, May 31, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The second event will be held at Dos Locos at its new location - 208 Rehoboth Avenue, on Friday, June 1, from 10 p.m. to midnight. The third and final event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Mariachi's Restaurant on Wilmington Avenue in Rehoboth Beach.
The tickets are $10 each, or $50 for a book of six. There will be three chances per ticket. Winning tickets will be drawn on the evening of June 9 during the 18th Annual Best of the Beach Art Auction Dinner & Dance to take place in a huge tent on the grounds of the Beebe Health Campus on Route 24 in Rehoboth Beach. Proceeds from the annual event will be donated to the Tunnell Cancer Center. Winners need not be present to win. The 18th Annual Best of the Beach Art Auction is another sold out event and unfortunately, there are no tickets available.
