05/15/07
Deborah Yutzy of Milford and Kimberly Willoughby of Greenwood, two students of the Beebe Medical Center's School of Nursing, have been honored with the Louise Jarmon Hopkinson Scholarship. Ms. Yutzy is a senior and Ms. Willoughby is a first-year student.
Louise Jarmon Hopkinson graduated from Beebe School of Nursing in 1932. She served in the Army Nurse Corps, and as a private duty nurse at Beebe Hospital. A generous bequest from Mrs. Hopkinson's estate provides scholarship awards for the spring semester to a Beebe School of Nursing Senior and a First-Year Student who have the highest academic average. The Beebe Medical Foundation manages and facilitates the awarding of this scholarship.
