Beebe School of Nursing Offers Winter Nursing Assistant Class

The Beebe School of Nursing is offering its winter Nursing Assistant Class from January 29, 2007 to March 27, 2007. Upon successful completion of the 150-hour course, students are eligible to take the Nurse Aide Competency Examination for certification and may be considered for a position at Beebe Medical Center.

The course meets Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The first part of the course is classroom instruction and lab practice. The balance of the course is clinical instruction at Beebe Medical Center, Beebe Home Health and Lewes Convalescent Center. The course fee is $1,200 and includes the book and certification exam fee. A $200, non-refundable deposit is due by January 15, 2007, and is required with the application to reserve a position in the class. The balance for the course must be paid in full, or a payment plan must be initiated with the School of Nursing before January 30, 2007.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED certificate. Upon admission, a criminal background check, drug screening, and fingerprints will be required.
