The Movies at Midway Continues to Support Beebe Medical Center

Sabrina Hill, Vice President of Atlantic Management, presented a check on behalf of Movies at Midway to Beebe Medical Center. The check represented the company's latest Vision 2005 Capital Campaign pledge supporting the Eugene & Catherine Bookhammer Outpatient Center.

The Outpatient Center, which opened in 2003 at the Beebe Health Campus on Route 24, was officially named in honor of the Bookhammers during a special celebration this past October. The Vision 2005 Capital Campaign raised more than $12 million, and was the Beebe Medical Center's most successful fundraising effort in its 90-year history.


My family and I are very proud to have Beebe Medical Center here in our community, said Sabrina Hill. This pledge to its capital campaign was our way of demonstrating the appreciation we have for the quality healthcare Beebe Medical Center provides, both to the residents and visitors to the Delaware shore.

Movies at Midway, one of the first contributors to the Vision 2005 Capital Campaign, continues to contribute a portion of its profits on ticket sales to Beebe Medical Center. With this most recent contribution, Movies at Midway has given more than $200,000 to support the Outpatient Center.

We remain extremely grateful for this continuing demonstration of support, said The Honorable Eugene Bookhammer, Chairperson of the Beebe Medical Foundation Board of Directors.

As a community-owned health care facility, Beebe Medical Center is greatly dependent on the generosity of individuals and businesses to help support its mission of providing quality healthcare, said Janet McCarty, Chairperson of the Medical Center Board of Directors. I am extremely grateful for this contribution and the example it sets for others.
