The Classic at Baywood Greens Committee Supports Tunnell Cancer Center
10/18/06
The Classic at Baywood Greens Golf Tournament Committee presented Beebe Medical Center with a check in the amount of $30,000 from funds raised at the Classic Tournament earlier this year.
Committee Co-Chairmen Bill Haughey and Paul Mylander made the presentation to Jeffrey M. Fried, President and CEO of Beebe Medical Center. The money will support the new Tunnell Cancer Center at the Beebe Health Campus on Route 24.
Mr. Haughey said he, Paul Mylander and Honorary Chairperson Sarah Brady were fortunate to have such a hands-on and dedicated golf committee.
We greatly appreciate each sponsors generous donation to the tournament, as well as all of the player participants' donations. They are the key to a successful tournament, along with the full cooperation of the Beebe Medical Center staff. And the final donation to the Tunnell Cancer Center made the effort worthwhile.
A committee of individuals dedicated to community service established the Classic at Baywood Greens Golf Tournament. This year, the committee partnered with local sponsors to benefit the Tunnell Cancer Center Capital Campaign. It is the goal of the committee to assist the Tunnell Cancer Center as it provides hope and wellness to cancer patients. Other committee members are: Scott Baylis, Rob Book, Nancy Cummings, Eric Davison, Jeffrey M. Fried, Blasé Gavlick, Tony Hollerback, Cindy Szabo, and Primo Toccafondi.
