Beebe Medical Center to Celebrate with Open House

10/06/06

Beebe Medical Center invites the community to attend an historic celebration planned for Sunday, October 22, between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the Beebe Health Campus on Route 24, just west of Route 1.

Beebe Medical Center will be celebrating several, significant milestones. It will celebrate the opening of the new and expanded Tunnell Cancer Center, which has moved from the Lewes campus to the first floor of the new, three-story, building on the Beebe Health Campus. Beebe Medical Center also will be celebrating its 90th anniversary and the 85th anniversary of the Beebe School of Nursing.

As part of the festivities, the Outpatient Center at the Beebe Health Campus will be officially named the Eugene & Catherine Bookhammer Outpatient Center. The physical therapy services at the center will be rededicated as the Baylis Rehabilitation Center.

A formal ceremony will begin in the tent at 2 p.m. There will be refreshments, tours of the facilities, some health screenings and much more.
