Beebe's 18th Annual Thanksgiving Ball Sold Out in Record Time

For the second year in a row, the Beebe Medical Foundation's Thanksgiving Ball is sold out. Last year, the event sold out within two weeks and this year, within a few days of invitations being mailed.

Beebe credits the success of this event to its volunteers. "Without the continued support from our volunteers, we would never be able to achieve the continued level of success at this and other Beebe events," commented Michael Clemmer, Executive Director, Beebe Medical Foundation. "The people serving on these committees really form the backbone of our Foundation, and the time and effort they tirelessly donate is truly a gift of service for the whole community."

Lacy Letonoff chaired the Corporate Sponsorship Committee once again this year. We had an overwhelming response for underwriters and sponsors this year, many new to supporting this event. It's wonderful to know there's so much support to our community hospital.

This year's theme is Books & Novels' , explained Event Chair and Decorating Committee Chair, H. Keith Henry. "It's quite a visual rush for guests to enter the dining room and see the outstanding creative effort put forth by decorators from our community. Tables are judged and recognized at the event and we still have decorating opportunities available.

The event takes place Saturday, November 5 at the Baycenter at Ruddertowne in Dewey Beach. All proceeds will benefit the expansion of Beebe Medical Center's Emergency Department through the Vision 2005 Capital Campaign.
