Becker, DiFebo Join Beebe Medical Foundation Board

08/12/05

Beebe Medical Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Ted Becker and Charlotte M. DiFebo to the Board of Directors.

We are very fortunate to have these two dynamic community leaders join the Board, said Foundation Board Chairman Eugene D. Bookhammer. Mr. Becker and
Mrs. DiFebo both believe the way to enhance the quality of life in Sussex County is to participate through philanthropy and volunteerism. To that end, they have joined the Board and will help guide the fundraising efforts that enhance Beebe Medical Center's ability to continue to provide quality care and meet the challenges of this growing community.

Mr. Becker brings to the Board a sound background in business and civic responsibility. He is the managing partner of Stewart Becker Properties, Lewes, which owns and operates, among other properties, The Inn at Canal Square.

Mr. Becker serves on the Lewes City Council and the boards of the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and Coastal Concerts. Between 2002 and 2004, he served on the Lewes Commercial Architectural Review Commission.

Mrs. DiFebo brings to the board her sense of family, and a strong commitment to the community. She is an owner-operator with her husband Robert DiFebo of the popular DiFebo's restaurant in Bethany Beach. She served on the board of directors of the Bethany-Fenwick Area Chamber of Commerce from 2000 to 2003 and has been actively involved in area fundraisers and community events.

Beebe Medical Center, as a community owned not-for-profit hospital, is dependent on the generous support of many individuals, corporations, businesses and foundations to fully meet the healthcare needs of our community.

Beebe Medical Foundation was established in 1989. The mission of the Beebe Medical Foundation is to identify and secure the philanthropic support for Beebe Medical Center.

Through the efforts of the Foundation, more than $20 Million has already been raised to support new construction and renovation of medical facilities, new and ongoing medical programs and to establish an endowment fund to ensure Beebe will always be available for this community.
