Beebe Heart Walk Team Captains Make Plans

Beebe Medical Center American Heart Association Heart (AHA) Walk Team Captains met recently to plan for the 2005 Sussex County Heart Walk, which will take place on Saturday, October 1, at Redden State Forest in Georgetown.
Beebe also is the presenting sponsor for the Heart Walk.
Even though heart disease has stepped down to the number two reason for death nationwide, it's still the number one reason for death in Delaware, said Jeffrey M. Fried, President of Beebe Medical Center and this year's Heart Walk Chairman. Money raised from the Heart Walk will help the AHA in its effort to reduce coronary artery disease and stroke risk by 25 percent by the year 2010.

The AHA is still looking for companies and individuals interested in developing teams for the Heart Walk. Contact the AHA's Sussex County Division at 856-7386.
