Beebe Closes In On $12 Million Campaign Goal
06/20/05
Beebe Medical Center President Jeffrey M. Fried and Paul Mylander, Chairman of the Vision 2005 Capital Campaign, recently acknowledged the continuing success of the largest fundraising campaign in the history of the medical center by recording that more than $10.5 million has already been raised towards the campaign's goal of $12 million.
When the total raised reaches $11 million, the Longwood Foundation will contribute a $1 million challenge grant. The Vision 2005 Capital Campaign will officially end December 2005.
So far, the campaign has helped to fund the construction of the Outpatient Care Center at Beebe's new Health Campus on Route 24. It also helped fund the $9 million central utility building on the Savannah Road Campus that made future growth possible. It is still helping to fund the present expansion of the Emergency Department.
More than 2,000 individual donors already have made gifts and pledges to help ensure that Beebe will always be able to provide quality health care to both residents and visitors to southeastern Delaware, noted R. Michael Clemmer, Executive Director of the Beebe Medical Foundation. Those interested in making a donation should contact the foundation at (302) 644-2900.
