Dewey Beach Lions Club Supports Vision 2005
11/04/04
In keeping with their credo, "We serve," officers of the Dewey Beach Lions Club presented a second payment on their $50,000 pledge to Beebe Medical Center's Vision 2005 Capital Campaign. The Dewey Beach Lions Club is committed to helping others. For this dedicated gift, the Club chose to support the establishment of the Outpatient Care Center on the new Beebe Health Campus on Route 24, which was designed to be more accessible and to meet the needs of those living west of Route 1.
On hand for the recent presentation were T.J. Redefer, Lions Club President, and Wayne Steele, Lions Club Immediate Past President. Bob Frederick and Bob Lore, Co-chairpersons of the Civic Organizations Campaign Committee, received the payment on behalf of Beebe Medical Foundation and the Vision 2005 Campaign.
More than $7.3 million has already been raised toward the $12 million campaign that when completed will have helped fund the new Outpatient Care Center, infrastructure improvements on the Lewes Campus, and the significant expansion of the Beebe Emergency Department.
