Beebe Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Department Honors Recent Graduates

Beebe Medical Center’s Cardiac Rehabilitation Department honored its graduates at a picnic on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at Blockhouse Pond Park. Eighty-six graduates and guests were invited as well as 24 members of the “current class.” Dr. Pedro Perez, Medical Director of Cardiac Rehab gave the commencement speech and former graduates who are currently serving as volunteers for the department were honored.

Beebe Medical Center’s cardiac rehabilitation program offers clinical expertise as well as a strong education component that helps patients with a history of heart disease improve their health and modify their fitness and nutrition routines. The cardiac rehabilitation program is designed to limit the physiological and psychological effects of cardiac illness, reduce the risk for sudden death or relapse, control cardiac symptoms, stabilize and/or improve the patient's condition, and enhance the patient's quality of life.
