Tunnell Cancer Center Hosts First Annual Cancer Survivors’ "Miracle Mile"

To recognize the strength and determination cancer survivors have demonstrated in battling their disease, the Tunnell Cancer Center will host the first annual Cancer Survivors’ Miracle Mile on Saturday, June 12, 2004 in Rehoboth Beach. In addition to cancer survivors, caregivers, or those who want to show general support for cancer survivors, also are invited to participate.
Pre-registration is requested by June 4; although, registration will be permitted the day of the event beginning at 7:30 a.m. The event will begin with a brief recognition ceremony at 8 a.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church, Baltimore Avenue, 1st block, followed by the walk, which will begin at the boardwalk. Participants will return to the church for a light breakfast and camaraderie. A cap to wear during the walk and water bottle are guaranteed to pre-registrants.
