Beebe School of Nursing to Hold Open House

The Beebe School of Nursing invites everyone interested in entering the rewarding and challenging field of nursing to attend the School’s semi-annual Open House on Thursday, April 22, 2004, from 3 to 5 p.m. Prospective students will have the opportunity to tour the facility and meet faculty members. The School of Nursing is located behind Beebe Medical Center off Savannah Road in Lewes.

Beebe’s nursing education program offers comprehensive nursing education - providing training in basic nursing concepts, advanced technology, and critical care nursing, as well as optimal hands-on clinical experience with its proximity to Beebe Medical Center. The two-year curriculum is known for providing optimal hands-on clinical experience that is more accessible due to the proximity of Beebe Medical Center. For the third consecutive year in 2003, Beebe School of Nursing was the only nursing school in Delaware in which 100 percent of the students passed the National Council Licensure Exam.

Upon completion, graduates are well prepared for licensure and entry-level nursing practice. Students can earn a bachelor’s degree in one additional year through an articulation agreement with Wilmington College. Pre-requisite college courses and a certified Nursing Assistant Course are required prior to enrollment in the 17-week semester nursing program.
