Beebe Medical Center Welcomed 33 New Physicians in 2003

Medical Staff More than Doubles Since 1995
Beebe Medical Center welcomed 33 new physicians to its medical staff on November 13, 2003, during its New Physician Reception at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club. The annual event provided an opportunity for physicians who have joined Beebe Medical Center’s staff throughout 2002 to meet other local physicians, board members, and executive staff members of Beebe Medical Center.
“Beebe Medical Center is dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of our growing community and we continually monitor specialty areas of particular need. As our area and community hospital grows, so does interest from a broader range of highly qualified physicians,” explains Marilyn Hill, Director of Physician Services at Beebe Medical Center. “We are extremely pleased to welcome our newest colleagues and the expertise they bring to enhance healthcare services for our community.”
Over 180 physicians in a wide range of specialties are affiliated with Beebe Medical Center, a 145 percent increase since 1995. Approximately 87 percent of Beebe’s physicians are Board-certified, which is now a requirement to hold privileges at the Medical Center.
Beebe Medical Center encourages new residents to establish a local primary care physician as soon as possible to promote continuity of their healthcare in both preventive and emergency situations.
