Beebe School of Nursing Offers RN Refresher Course

The Beebe School of Nursing will offer a Registered Nurse Refresher Course from May 27 through July 31, 2003. The course, approved by the Delaware Board of Nursing, is intended for nurses whose licenses have lapsed, or who would like an update on the latest developments in the field of nursing. This course is one of only two offered in the state and the only refresher course offered outside of New Castle County.

Classes will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 27 through June 20. Areas of study include an overview of professional nursing and current nursing trends. Updates will be provided on physiological systems, special populations, pharmacology, and IV therapy. There will be a skills lab on June 18 and 19, and 40 hours of individual clinical rotation June 20 through July 31. All classes will be held at the Beebe School of Nursing, located behind Beebe Medical Center.

Registration for the class is $650; a $100 non-refundable deposit is required with applications. Copies of RN licenses or Nursing Education graduation certificates must be provided.
