Beebe Medical Center Sees Pink in Recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

10/06/11

A soft pink hue settles upon the historic façade of Beebe Medical Center and the modern structure of its Tunnell Cancer Center when dusk falls.

The dramatic scenes have been created to remind us all that this month of October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Beebe Medical Center has joined with Philadelphia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the American Cancer Society, and the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition to light buildings in pink around the state.

Breast Cancer is the most common cancer to affect women, and it is one of those for which we can screen so that diagnosis and treatment can begin in its early stages. We know that patients have a better chance of surviving a cancer if it is diagnosed early.

Please join Beebe Medical Center in spreading the word about the importance of cancer screenings for early diagnosis and treatment.
