Tunnell Cancer Center to Host Eighth Annual Miracle Mile June 4 in Rehoboth Beach

""" The Eighth Annual Cancer Survivors' "Miracle Mile," sponsored by Beebe Medical Center's Tunnell Cancer Center, is scheduled to take place 8 a.m., Saturday, June 4, on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk.

The event, which is organized to celebrate National Cancer Survivors' Day, will begin with a recognition ceremony at 8 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church on Olive Avenue. Participants will then proceed to the boardwalk where they will walk about 1/2 mile down and back. After the walk, participants are invited back to the church hall for a light breakfast and fellowship.

More than 100 people take part in the annual event. Cancer survivors, relatives and friends are warmly welcomed to attend. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the ceremony beginning at 8 a.m. T-shirts will be given to survivors.
