Beebe School of Nursing Supports the Cape Henlopen Food Basket

11/22/10

Beebe School of Nursing Student Council Organization collected 1,540 pounds of food and donated it on Monday, November 15, to the Cape Henlopen Food Basket. This amount nearly doubled the pounds of food donated last year, and is the third year Beebe students have donated food to the organization. The Cape Henlopen Food Basket is a non-profit organization and donations benefit the residents of the Cape Henlopen School District.

The Beebe School of Nursing, based at Beebe Medical Center, is the only hospital-based, diploma nursing program in Delaware, and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC). The diploma in professional nursing is awarded at the completion of the curriculum, qualifying Beebe graduates to be eligible for National Council of State Boards of Nursing NCLEX examination, leading to RN licensure. Beebe graduates have one of the highest NCLEX pass rates in the state and can complete a Bachelor's degree in Nursing at Wilmington University through an articulation agreement with one additional year of study.

Beebe Medical Center is a not-for-profit community medical center with a charitable mission to encourage healthy living, prevent illness, and restore optimal health with the people residing, working, or visiting in the communities we serve.
