Beebe Medical Center to Hold Community Health Forum Oct. 16 in Rehoboth Beach

Beebe Medical Center is holding a free Community Health Fair from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, October 16, at the Sussex Family YMCA in Rehoboth Beach.

The event's goal is prevention and early diagnosis of cardiovascular disease and diabetes, as well as osteoporosis. The free screenings available will be cholesterol screenings, blood pressure checks, glucose screenings, body mass index calculations, and bone density evaluations. Health educational information will be available from Beebe Medical Center and from other organizations.

The free Community Health Fair, presented by the Beebe Medical Center Community Health Department, is among the many outreach events Beebe Medical Center organizes to encourage healthy lifestyles and to prevent illnesses, as well as to diagnose illnesses and disease in their early stages.
