Beebe Gastroenterologist Recognized by Journal

Dr. Vinod K. Parasher, a Beebe Medical Center-affiliated gastroenterologist, was recognized in the December 2002 issue of the journal Gastroenterology Endoscopy for his contributions as a reviewer. Gastroenterology Endoscopy, the flagship publication of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (A.S.G.E.), publishes cutting-edge research articles on endoscopic management of complex digestive disease problems. As a reviewer, Dr. Parasher analyzes the submitted articles for their scientific content and accuracy, and reports findings to the editor. The majority of the reviewers are gastroenterologists who are experts in their fields and are affiliated with university medical centers. Dr. Parasher has the rare distinction of being a reviewer who is exclusively in private practice. In addition, he is the only gastroenterologist in the State of Delaware to be included in the panel of reviewers.

Dr. Parasher is Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and practices in Lewes. He is active in clinical research and holds a patent. Additionally, he has been published extensively in medical journals, made presentations at national and international meetings, and has contributed chapters in three gastroenterology books.
