Beebe Medical Center Dedicates New Orthopaedic Unit
01/06/03
Beebe Medical Center staff and affiliated physicians welcome the public to the orthopaedic unit Open House on Friday, January 10, 2003, from 2-6 p.m., with a 3 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony. Beebe encourages anyone whose hip, neck, back, shoulder, or knee pain is keeping them from activities they enjoy to visit the Open House and learn how to start on a new path to mobility and freedom.
The Open House will feature a tour of the gym and rehabilitation rooms; a “beach walk” down the newly decorated orthopaedic hallway; a presentation of the steps of joint replacement surgery (pre-operative to recovery); free osteoporosis screenings; displays; as well as refreshments and door prizes. Renovations for the dedicated orthopaedic unit, which was formerly a general medical surgical unit, were completed in the fall.
Beebe’s skilled multidisciplinary team of affiliated orthopedic physicians, nurses, and therapists will be on hand to answer patient questions and explain treatment options. For more information, please call Beebe's Orthopaedic Services department at 645-3623.
