Tunnell Cancer Center to Host 7th Annual Miracle Mile June 5 in Rehoboth Beach

The Seventh Annual Cancer Survivors' Miracle Mile, sponsored by Beebe Medical Center's Tunnell Cancer Center, is scheduled to take place 8 a.m., Saturday, June 5, on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk.

The event, which is organized to celebrate National Cancer Survivors' Day, will begin with a recognition ceremony at 8 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church on Olive Avenue. Participants will then proceed to the boardwalk where they will walk about ½ mile down and back. After the walk, participants are invited back to the church hall for a light breakfast and fellowship.

More than 100 people take part in the annual event. Cancer survivors, relatives and friends are warmly welcomed to attend. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with the ceremony beginning at 8 a.m. Everyone who registers before May 31 will receive an event cap. T-shirts will be given to survivors.
